Quality Control

EDEA CICE promotes actions aimed at obtaining knowledge that serves as an objective basis for the homogeneous development of the building quality process, by means of standards, regulations, quality promotion or quality control techniques, which promote the application of the requirements established by Decree 19/2013 of 5 March, which regulates the quality control of construction and public works in Extremadura to Testing Laboratories and Building Quality Control Entities.

Quality promotion

Activities aimed at facilitating the better application of the requirements established by Decree 19/2013 of 5 March through training sessions, technical guides, practical manuals, etc., supported by a systematic dissemination of information that allows collaboration in the monitoring of the quality systems of laboratories and control entities.

Regional Interlaboratory

The Regional Interlaboratory is a tool that allows Extremadura’s building quality control laboratories to verify the authenticity of the test results they provide to their clients, in addition to complying with part of the requirements established in Decree 19/2013 of 5 March, which regulates the quality control of construction and public works in Extremadura. It is a periodic activity that is carried out according to an established Plan or Programme, every one or two years.

National Interlaboratory (EILA)

The EILA or Interlaboratory Testing Plan at State Level, provides building quality control laboratories to evaluate the performance of the way in which they carry out their tests, a requirement contemplated in Royal Decree 410/2010, which develops the requirements for building quality control entities and testing laboratories for the quality control of building, for the exercise of their activity. It was created by the Administrative Subcommittee for Building Quality (SACE) and is currently being developed by the Eduardo Torroja Institute (IETcc) under the control and coordination of the Committee of Infrastructures for Building Quality (CICE). It is a periodic activity that is carried out according to an established Plan or Programme, every one or two years.
